The Yingling Family Bids Farewell to ServiceMaster Cleaning and Restoration After 26 Years of Service
Mt. Sterling, Illinois, November 2024 – After more than 26 years of dedicated service in the restoration industry, the Yingling family announces the closure of their ServiceMaster Cleaning and Restoration business. Founded in 1998 by Larry and Kathy Yingling, the business began with two ServiceMaster franchises in Mt. Sterling and Macomb, Illinois. Over the years, it expanded to serve the surrounding areas, including Quincy, Jacksonville, and Hannibal, Missouri.
What started as a bold leap from the corporate world into entrepreneurship soon grew into a thriving family business, with their three children joining the company as it expanded. Together, the Yingling family built a trusted name in full-service restoration and reconstruction, helping communities recover from disasters and making a lasting impact on West Central Illinois and North Eastern Missouri.
Through years of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to the ServiceMaster values, the Yingling family was proud to see their business flourish, growing to 25 employees and earning recognition for excellence. In 2015, they were honored with the prestigious ServiceMaster Marion E. Wade Award for Honor, the highest award given to a ServiceMaster franchise for embodying the brand's core values of integrity, service, and respect.
“The restoration business has been incredibly good to us,” said Larry Yingling, President of ServiceMaster Cleaning and Restoration. “Not only have we been able to serve our community, but we’ve also had the privilege of building something together as a family. It’s been a journey filled with hard work, dedication, and pride, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have helped so many people along the way.”
As their children pursued their own career paths and business ventures, the Yingling family made the difficult decision to sell the business.  The Yinglings have chosen Aumann Auctions to market and liquidate their business so they can they can move forward with their personal interests.
“I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished and the impact we’ve made in the communities we’ve served,” added Yingling. “It’s time to let go and begin a new chapter in our lives, but we will always cherish the memories and relationships we’ve built throughout this journey.”
As ServiceMaster Cleaning and Restoration closes its doors, the Yingling family remains deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty of their clients, employees, and the communities they’ve served over the years. While the business may be closing, the legacy of their work will endure in the countless lives they’ve touched and the difference they’ve made.
The Yingling family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of their journey. It has truly been a privilege to serve you.
